Withdrawal Redeposited
My withdrawal was returned to my GX account
In rare cases, a withdrawal may be returned (redeposited) to your GX Exchange account instead of being sent to Ethereum. This can happen for several reasons:
Common Causes
-
Open positions — If you have open perpetual positions, the withdrawal may be rejected if it would cause your margin ratio to exceed the liquidation threshold. Close positions or reduce the withdrawal amount.
-
Insufficient free balance — Your available balance must cover the withdrawal amount plus any reserved margin for open orders. Cancel pending orders to free up balance.
-
Validator signature failure — If the multisig threshold is not met due to temporary validator unavailability, the withdrawal is returned. Try again after a few minutes.
-
Security hold — Unusual withdrawal patterns may trigger a temporary security review. If this occurs, contact support for verification.
-
Network issues — If the Ethereum network is experiencing severe congestion or outages, withdrawals may be temporarily paused and returned.
What to do
- Check the redeposit notification for the specific reason
- Address the issue (close positions, cancel orders, etc.)
- Resubmit the withdrawal
- If the issue persists, contact

Are my funds safe?
Yes. When a withdrawal is redeposited, your funds are returned to your GX Exchange account in full. No funds are lost. You can verify your balance on the account page.
