Testnet Faucet

The GX Exchange testnet allows you to try all platform features without risking real funds. Use the testnet faucet to receive free test tokens.

What Is the Testnet?

The GX testnet is a complete replica of the GX Chain mainnet environment, running the same matching engine, consensus mechanism, and API servers. The only difference is that all tokens on testnet have no monetary value.

The testnet is useful for:

  • Learning how to trade on GX Exchange before using real funds
  • Testing smart contract deployments on GX EVM
  • Developing and testing integrations against the GX API
  • Experimenting with staking and governance features

How to Get Testnet Tokens

Step 1: Connect to the Testnet

  1. Navigate to the GX Exchange testnet URL (check official channels for the current testnet address)
  2. Connect your wallet as you would on mainnet
  3. Ensure your wallet is configured for the GX testnet network

Step 2: Request Tokens from the Faucet

  1. Navigate to the Faucet page on the testnet interface
  2. Your connected wallet address will be auto-populated
  3. Click Request Tokens
  4. The faucet will send you:
    • Testnet USDC — For depositing as trading collateral
    • Testnet GX — For staking, governance, and GX EVM gas fees

Step 3: Confirm Receipt

Tokens are typically delivered within seconds. Check your balance on the testnet interface or in your wallet.

Resetting Your Testnet Account

The testnet may be periodically reset during development cycles. When a reset occurs:

  • All balances, positions, and transaction history are cleared
  • You can request new tokens from the faucet immediately
  • Smart contracts deployed on GX EVM will need to be redeployed

Reset announcements are posted on official GX Exchange channels in advance.

Important Notes

  • Testnet tokens have no monetary value and cannot be transferred to mainnet
  • Testnet performance may differ from mainnet during development updates
  • The testnet is provided as-is for testing purposes; availability is not guaranteed
  • Do not use mainnet private keys on testnet if you are concerned about key exposure — generate a separate testing wallet
