Connected via Wallet — Troubleshooting
My wallet will not connect to GX Exchange
- Check network — Ensure your wallet is connected to a supported network (Ethereum Mainnet or Arbitrum One).
- Update wallet — Make sure MetaMask or your wallet app is updated to the latest version.
- Clear permissions — In MetaMask, go to Settings > Connected Sites and remove
gx.exchange, then reconnect. - Try WalletConnect — If direct injection is not working, try connecting via WalletConnect QR code.
- Disable conflicting extensions — Other wallet extensions (Phantom, Coinbase Wallet) can conflict with MetaMask.
I connected the wrong wallet
Disconnect the current wallet from the GX Exchange interface (click your address > Disconnect), then reconnect with the correct wallet.
My wallet is connected but I see no balance
- Ensure you have deposited funds via the GX bridge
- Check that you are viewing the correct account (some wallets support multiple accounts)
- Wait a few seconds for balances to load — the interface queries the GX Core API
- If you deposited recently, wait for the Ethereum block confirmation (~12 seconds)
Can I use a hardware wallet?
Yes. Connect your Ledger or Trezor through MetaMask. GX Exchange supports EIP-712 signing, which is compatible with hardware wallet transaction signing.
